More than 130 arrested in North Carolina as governor says immigration crackdown is ‘stoking fear’
Well, I guess you can’t please everyone. The AP quotes Gov. Josh Stein (D),
We’ve seen masked, heavily armed agents in paramilitary garb driving unmarked cars, targeting American citizens based on their skin color, racially profiling and picking up random people in parking lots and off of our sidewalks.
He’s referring to the latest effort to enforce national immigration laws. This week the focus is Charlotte, the state’s largest city. Some of you may be familiar with the city’s main commercial airport, a major hub, which exists as the closest approximation to purgatory in this realm.

Donald Trump’s Border Patrol has already failed in Charlotte
It’s only Day 2 of the border patrol surge in Charlotte. Based on the posting time for the editorial, I’m guessing that it was written before the operation had even begun.
How has the Border Patrol failed? According to the editors, the operation (has already?) resulted in “terror,” “destroyed lives,” and “fractured communities.”
As for the Democratic Governor’s claims, I have yet to find a confirmed case, anywhere in America, of an innocent American citizen randomly snatched off the street, despite dozens of false claims to that effect in the fake media.
You will recall that Charlotte was the location of the brutal murder in August of Iryna Zarutska, on a city light rail train, the direct result of the city’s unwillingness to enforce any laws against anyone.
The Observer‘s editors confusingly claim that Pres. Trump’s emphasis on border enforcement is just an effort to bolster his public approval, but also the proximate cause of his allegedly falling approval ratings in the first place.
Epstein is mentioned in a non sequitur.
If Trump’s approach has already failed before it has even begun, then what do the editors recommend instead? Amnesty. I’m not kidding.
