The U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis is on lockdown after gunshots were reportedly heard inside Bancroft Hall.
A midshipman who had been kicked out of the school returned to campus armed with a weapon, according to Fox News.
“The shooter is knocking on doors pretending to be a military policeman,” one official said.
There are multiple victims being assessed for their injuries, Fox anchor Bret Baier reports. At least one victim is being transported by medevac with serious, life-threatening wounds.

“Naval Support Activity Annapolis, in coordination with local law enforcement, is currently responding to reports of threats made to the Naval Academy,” NSAA PAO, LT Naweed Lemar said in a statement.
“The base is on lockdown out of an abundance of caution,” he added. “This is a developing situation and we will provide updates as they become available.”
