Princess Kate’s brother has shared two new never-before-seen photographs to mark a special anniversary this week. On Thursday, James Middleton shared pictures of himself and his wife Alizée on Instagram to mark their four year wedding anniversary.
The photographs show the happy couple on their wedding day in 2021 in France. The first photograph shows them emerging from the beautiful venue where they said “I do”, with the second showing them walking across a sandy beach hand-in-hand.
James, 38, captioned the post: “Happy Anniversary my darling Alizée – Je t’aime de plus en plus chaque jour.”
This French statement translates to “I love you more and more every day”.
It is not known how the couple celebrated their anniversary yesterday, however it is believed they would have looked back fondly on memories of their special day.
The couple’s wedding was believed to have been an intimate occasion with just family and close friends only, with James’ royal sister Princess Kate believed to have attended with Prince William and their three children.
The wedding was also extra special as James’ wife decided to wear his mother Carole Middleton’s wedding dress.
Alizée previously told Hello! Magazine: “My something borrowed was in fact my dress from my mother-in-law Carole who last wore it 41 years ago on her wedding day in June, 1980.
“While talking about dresses with Carole and sharing ideas during lockdown for inspiration, I tried on her wedding dress and fell in love with it.”
Since their 2021 wedding, James and his wife have shared plenty of happy memories, especially since welcoming their first child Inigo into the world in September 2023.
With their son soon set to celebrate his second birthday, it is believed that the family will no doubt gather together to celebrate his big day.
