It is possible that Times reporters and editors are so ignorant that they didn’t realize Charlie Kirk was a great friend of Israel and the Jews. Or else they just lied; that is probably more likely.
But note that if this actually was an error, it means that the Times reporter didn’t listen to the podcast before using it to cast aspersions on Charlie. Rather, the reporter relied on a misleading quote from the podcast that he or she saw on a Twitter or Bluesky post by a left-winger. That is the Times business model: recycle unverified slurs against conservatives.
