(LifeSiteNews) – A former Canadian political candidate for the leftist NDP party who now serves as a Pride Society board member alleged that Charlie Kirk was “found out” by those who disagree with him, calling his assassination “ironic karma.”
The comments were made by Morgane Oger, who serves as a Vancouver Pride Society board member. His comments were posted on X on September 11 after Kirk’s brutal assassination.
“I am so deeply saddened for the survivors of an extreme right hatemonger who found out today,” Oger wrote.
“Nobody deserves to lose their breadwinner. And nobody deserves to be married to someone whose death is ironic karma embodied. There’s a lesson here: never fuck hatemongering bigots.”
Oger was a British Columbia NDP candidate who, in the past, was blasted for campaigning on getting the Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter defunded.
Many on social media blasted Oger for his comments about Kirk’s shooting.
Canadian conservative political commentator Wyatt Claypool called out Oger for the comments, saying, “You are the only one justifying violence. You should have no public funds for your organization.”
In response, Oger wrote, “All violence is wrong and harmful,” adding that “Violence needs to be handled and prevented by our laws and lawmakers and violent acts prosecuted to the fullest extent allowed by these laws.”
As reported by LifeSiteNews, Kirk, who was the CEO of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), was shot in the neck during an event on the campus of Utah Valley University last Wednesday and died.
Law enforcement has Kirk’s alleged shooter in custody, as reported by LifeSiteNews.
