Police Scotland have issued an appeal for information following the disappearance of a teenage boy from Falkirk, Scotland.

Cole Connor, 16, was last spotted in the Oswald Street vicinity of the town around 2pm on Wednesday, 17 September, with his friends and family now growing increasingly concerned for his wellbeing.

The youngster, also known as ‘Coley’, is also often seen in the Glasgow area and is described as white, approximately 5ft 9in tall with short fair or blonde hair.

He was last seen donning a black and grey hoodie, black joggers, black trainers, and carrying a black bag – during his last confirmed sighting two days ago.

Police are now seeking assistance from the public in helping to track down the missing teenager, reports The Daily Record.

Inspector David Brown stated: “Enquiries to trace Cole are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen him, or have any information about his whereabouts to get in touch.

“Anyone with information on where he may be is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 3795 of Wednesday, 17 September, 2025.”

Around 15,000 missing incidents are reported to Police Scotland every year, with the majority of these being medium to high risk missing persons, however many more cases go unreported to authorities. From 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025, 14,670 missing person investigations were launched by Police Scotland – equating to around 40 per day.

Of these cases, 62% of missing persons investigations involved children, while 31% of police recorded missing persons investigations have a mental health flag.
