Traffic has ground to a halt on the M4 after a collision at a key junction, causing major disruption for drivers heading over the Prince of Wales Bridge towards Bristol.
The incident was first reported by Traffic Wales at around 7.30am on Monday, with traffic cameras showing vehicles at a standstill eastbound between junctions 22 and 23.
According to traffic monitoring service Inrix, the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge eastbound is partially blocked, with slow-moving traffic stretching from J23 (M48) to J22 (M49).
A spokesperson for Traffic Wales confirmed: “There has been an accident on the M4 Eastbound between J23 Rogiet and J22 Pilning/Prince of Wales Bridge. Delays are likely, so please allow extra travel time.”
