Not surprisingly, Disney has announced that late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel will return to the airwaves Tuesday night after an “indefinite” suspension that only lasted a few days.
As we reported, Disney’s statement noted that their original decision to suspend him was “made because we felt some of the comments [made about alleged Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson] were ill-timed and thus insensitive.”
“We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday,” they also wrote.
It is unclear, however, if the Nexstar ABC affiliates and Sinclair ABC affiliates, who announced last week that they would be “preempting” future episodes of Kimmel’s show, will comply.

ABC’s decision at the time, which came on the heels of FCC Chairman Brendan Carr hinting that action might be forthcoming if they didn’t, prompted accusations of “fascism!” from The Usual Suspects on the left, many of who expressed no such outrage after it had been revealed there was collusion between the Biden-Harris administration and Big Tech on censoring conservative opinions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
So naturally, once news broke of the decision to reinstate Kimmel, prominent media critics and some voices on the right took to the X machine to make astute observations, and to hilariously mock the initial cries of “fascism!”
Raskin celebrates Kimmel’s return: “It’s great news…ABC is on the right side now.”
Wait a minute. We were told Trump personally had Kimmel fired and that was a clear indication that America had descended into fascism.

Jimmy Kimmel getting a four-show vacation completely ruins the whole “fascism” narrative. Don’t think authoritarian regimes allow dissidents back on the air because some celebs signed a strongly-worded letter!

So, Kimmel wasn’t cancelled by Trump or the FCC after all – but temporarily suspended by his employer because they thought what he said was ill-timed and insensitive. https://t.co/oWDrstgEFU

Oh weird because people on Twitter said the Trump FCC totally forced ABC to end Kimmel’s career forever https://t.co/x1ntGEbYJt

Trump is such a vicious dictator that he forced Jimmy Kimmel off air for 6 days, forced CBS to cancel Colbert while leaving him on TV for 11 months, and incited violence toward himself and his supporters.

Must be nice to be a leftist. “Cancellation” lasts 5 nights and you’re right back under klieg lights.
On the right you’re underground.— Megyn Kelly (@megynkelly) September 22, 2025
This is, I believe, what is better known as Democrat Privilege in action.
