(LifeSiteNews) — Pro-life organization Choice42 has released a new video telling the true story of a Texas mother who killed her unborn twins using mail-order abortion pills.
“Death on Delivery,” released September 23 by Choice42, follows the real conversation of a pregnant mother who illegally obtains mail-order abortion pills that she used to murder her 26-week twins.
“Hello. I heard you can get me pills,” the mother messages an abortion provider in a foreign country.
The abortion provider assured the woman that she can abort her babies at 26 weeks, sending “success photos” of babies from previous patients who were killed using abortion pills.
The mother questioned if her babies will be born alive, noting that she had read stories online of women delivering their babies alive after taking the abortion pills. The abortion provider assured the woman that “it’s possible for it to breathe one minute or some seconds but then will die.”
In a chemical abortion, the first pill, mifepristone, attempts to starve the child developing in utero by blocking the pregnancy hormone progesterone. However, after taking the first pill, a woman can still change her mind. She can undergo emergency procedures to reverse the effects of the first pill. Provided she has not taken the second pill, her baby can often be saved through this process, which is known as Abortion Pill Reversal.
The second drug required in a chemical abortion is misoprostol, which is taken 24-48 hours later, usually at home. Misoprostol causes the uterus to contract, expelling the baby, sometimes before the baby has died. This can result in cramping, bleeding, and often requires medical attention.
The woman fearfully asked what she will do with the bodies considering abortion is illegal in Texas. The abortion provider then lied to her, claiming that only surgical abortions are illegal, not chemical ones. She suggested that the women bury her murdered children in her yard “to show respect for the baby.”
After the woman received the pills, hidden in an article of clothing, the abortion provider requested to see pictures of the “results” of the abortion. The woman told her that “there was so much blood.”
Additionally, the woman reveals that her young twins were born alive, leaving her to watch them struggle and eventually die.
Unfortunately, this story is not unique as increasing numbers of women across the U.S. are illegally obtaining abortion pills and administering them without medical supervision.
Chemical abortions, which are lethal to unborn babies when successful, are often painful for mothers and have been known to cause infection or hemorrhage that can require emergency care. Between 2000 and 2011, 14 women in the U.S. died from complications after chemical abortions.
Several American states have banned the dangerous drugs. Additionally, as LifeSiteNews previously reported, 22 state attorneys general are calling for a review of the dangers of mifepristone and urging the Trump administration to reinstate abortion pill restrictions.
