The clock is ticking ever closer to a midnight shutdown of the federal government, which, if it happens, will have been served up to the American people on a silver platter by Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and the Democrat Party.
Following Monday’s White House meeting between President Trump and Congressional leaders from both parties, it’s clear that many government programs will come to a screeching halt over one issue: the Democrat Party’s insistence that the American taxpayer foot the healthcare bills of illegals.

Vance, Johnson Hold Presser, Rip and Expose Democrats for Government Shutdown Gambit
The president said as much Tuesday when taking questions from the press after announcing his pharmaceutical deal with Pfizer. When asked about the looming Schumer Shutdown, Trump warned Democrats, “They’re taking a risk by having a shutdown.”

TRUMP: They are shutting it down, we’re not shutting it down. We don’t want it to shut down because we have the greatest period of time ever. I tell you, we have $17 trillion being invested so far, so the last person that wants it shut down is us.
Now, with that being said, we can do things during the shutdown that are irreversible — that are bad for them and irreversible by them. Like cutting vast numbers of people out, cutting things that they like, cutting programs that they like.
Per the president, it all comes down to this: “[Democrats] want to have illegal aliens come into our country and have massive healthcare at the cost to everybody else. And that’s, I would say, the number one reason they want [a shutdown] is to get illegal immigrants healthcare.”
Vice President JD Vance echoed the same sentiment and called out Schumer for his hypocrisy:

So, here are some of the ways the Schumer Shutdown might affect you and your household:
- Many in the military would be forced to work without pay;
- Air travel could be disrupted due to air traffic controller shortages;
- Medicare and Medicaid payments would likely be delayed;
- Social Security payments may also be delayed due to likely staff reductions; and,
- National parks will likely be closed.
In a Tuesday morning appearance on CNBC’s Squawk Box, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) nuked Schumer for yet again putting politics above the American people. “Remember, this is exactly the same thing that Chuck Schumer voted for in March and came out and told everybody he had to, it was necessary. He was correct. He was actually being honest in March. He’s not being honest with you right now,” Speaker Johnson said. “Their position right now is pure politics. They’re doing this for Chuck Schumer’s backside, not for the American people. And they are willing to inflict pain to do that.”
The federal government will run out of money in a few short hours for one reason and one reason only: the Democrat Party cares more about illegals than they do about you.
