Investigative Support Office Ruth Spencer reads statements on behalf of the two survivors who were victims of the seven Rochdale grooming gang members, who have today been sentenced to a combined total of 174 years.
Ms Spencer said in one of the statements: “My childhood was taken away from me by these men. I should have been out with friends, playing in parks and being innocent, hanging around on the streets, enjoying my childhood and creating memories I would be able to cherish and look back at as an adult.”
