I mentioned earlier that DHS Secretary Kristi Noem was in Minnesota yesterday. She made some news during a brief visit,
According to Noem, more than 4,300 people have been removed from the streets of Minnesota since Jan. 1. She said 3,316 of those individuals had a criminal history.
“The individuals that have been arrested and removed have had crimes and charges against them such as murder, assaults, homicides, robberies, carjackings and shootings,” said Noem.
I follow such things closely, and I have not encountered a single instance of a bona fide citizen getting “swept up” among the 4,300. I have not even encountered a claim as to that effect.
But, through my Minnesota Man series, I can confirm the following crimes among those arrested,
I could go and on, but you get the idea. Even before Noem arrived in town, local elected Democrats took to Twitter (X) to denounce Noem,
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey,
In Minneapolis, our immigrant neighbors are our friends. We stand up and support them, always.
Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty (official ,account)
Our immigrant neighbors make Minnesota one of the best places to live in the world.
State Sen. Omar Fateh,
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is here today delivering remarks to rile up ICE agents about their masked operations in the Twin Cities.
MPLS City Council Member Ward 12,
The Trump administration is trying to instill fear into our communities by having Secretary Kristi Noem hold a press conference at Fort Snelling today. We will not succumb to this fear.
St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter.
We’re aware ICE and federal agents are in the Twin Cities ahead of Kristi Noem’s speech today.
Minnesota DFL Party,
Kristi Noem came to Minnesota today to spread cruelty, not solutions. Her attacks on immigrant families don’t make our state safer — they just stoke more fear, confusion, and hurt.
I could go on, but you get the point. To be a viable politician in today’s Democratic party, you must take the side of rapists, killers, thieves, etc. against the interests of law-abiding citizens.
It’s come to this.
