Meghan Markle shares rare Archie and Lilibet insight – ‘Strong personality’ | Royal | News

Meghan Markle has shared one relatable ritual that she has when it comes to parenting her two children. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex became parents to Prince Archie in May 2019.

A year after stepping down as senior working royals and moving to the US, the couple welcomed Princess Lilibet in June 2021. During a chat with close friend Courtney Adamo at the Godmothers Bookstore earlier this week, the 44-year-old discussed Courtney’s new book, titled ‘The Family Home: Inspiring Ideas For A Home Filled With Joy‘, and shared how it has helped her own parenting.2

Speaking of tips from the book, Meghan opened up about how she uses the “rose and thorn” ritual with Archie and Lilibet, a method that elicits more than a ‘yes-or-no’ response to a question.

Speaking of Lilibet, Meghan said: “Our daughter, she’s four and she’s a very strong personality and she’s incredible.

“And now she’s in this moment where I say, ‘What’s your rose and your thorn?’ And she goes, ‘My day was just a blast.'”

Also speaking of her parenting, Meghan revealed that she and Harry also have one very particular ritual that they follow when Archie or Lilibet is unwell.

Meghan discussed that the family have a “healing blanket” for their children to use for comfort during illness, with the blanket being a gift from Victoria Jackson, a former QVC cosmetics mogul and co-owner of the bookstore.

Archie and Lilibet last visited the UK in 2022, with speculation growing over when they will next visit their dad’s home country.

Prince Harry’s Invictus Foundation is holding 2027 The Invictus Games in Birmingham meaning that Archie and Lilibet could travel to the UK with him.

The competition will be held from July 10 until July 17. Although it is likely Harry will attend, it remains unknown if he will be joined by Meghan and their children.
