Area man threatens Pam Bondi

From the New York Post,

29-year-old anarchist arrested for alleged $45K hit on Pam Bondi: FBI.

It looks like I’m going to need to launch an “Area Man” series alongside my “Minnesota Man” posts to keep track of all the local crime stories making national news.

The only places where I’m aware that “anarchist” can be described as a profession are Minneapolis, Portland, and Seattle.

Details from the Post,

An anarchist with a lengthy rap sheet has been arrested for allegedly putting a $45,000 hit out on US Attorney General Pam Bondi on TikTok, according to the feds.

Tyler Maxon Avalos, 29, was nabbed on Oct. 16 after a tipster alerted the FBI to the alleged murder-for-hire plot the suspect had blasted out on social media earlier this month.

Avalos made his first court appearance on October 17. He was charged with, “Communications consisting of an online post containing a threat to injure the person of another.”

After a detention hearing on October 22, he was released on bond. No date has been set, as of yet, for his next court appearance.

The UK Daily Mail put up a story today. From a Google search, not a single Minnesota media outlet has reported on the incident.

So, file this one under “breaking news.”
