Melissa is a Category 5 storm with maximum winds up to 175 mph (perhaps even 185). After a late summer and early autumn of false alarms and overhyping, this is the real thing.
The current track has the storm passing directly over Jamaica, southern Cuba and then the southern Bahamas. After lingering in the Caribbean it wall begin racing to the north Atlantic later in the week,
