That is how Times Radio headlined my appearance last night with host Maddie Hale. We covered a number of topics, but that reference is to Trump’s effort to conclude trade deals before there is a final ruling on the legality of the tariffs he has imposed. I think that is a vastly underreported story. But we covered the new East Wing, the idea of Trump serving a third term, the shutdown, and more.
Times Radio is an organ of the London Times, and, name notwithstanding, it is a video product. The audience is, I think, mostly British, and Ms. Hale, unlike the hosts I work with in Australia, is a moderate, at least in her onscreen persona.
Before the comments fill up, let me add that I made a mistake in the interview: I said that two-thirds of the states need to ratify a constitutional amendment; it is three-quarters. Sorry. Here goes:
