From the New York Post,

Appeals court blocks order demanding Border Patrol provide daily updates on Chicago immigration enforcement operations.

I wrote about this case earlier. A federal district judge based in Chicago had ordered the head of the local U.S. Border Patrol effort to appear in her chambers every day at 6 p.m. to give an accounting of all tactics used that day by the Patrol in discharging their duties.

He’s was let off the hook for Wednesday by the federal court of appeals,

A federal appeals court on Wednesday temporarily paused a judge’s order requiring Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino to provide daily, in-person updates on immigration enforcement activities in Chicago.

District Judge Sara Ellis, an appointee of former President Barack Obama, had ordered Bovino on Tuesday to appear in person at Northern Illinois District court every weekday at 5:45 p.m. to brief the court on “Operation Midway Blitz.”

That takes micromanagement to a whole ‘nother level. Judge Ellis has a specific problem with the use of tear gas. She has discovered a brand new Constitutional prohibition on its use somewhere buried in the emanations and penumbras that overrides the command to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed.”

We’ll see what Thursday brings.
