Municipal elections will take place in Minneapolis on Tuesday for mayor and city council and other offices. I’ve been following the money trail for last-second campaign cash flooding into the races.
A brand-new fund was set up earlier this month, Working Peoples Project, to funnel out-of-state cash in favor of mayoral candidate and sitting state Sen. Omar Fateh. Here’s that take as of yesterday,
As you can see, almost 90 percent of the cash has come from out of state.
Meanwhile, a video was circulating yesterday of Fateh addressing his supporters in their native language. The likes of champion golfer Phil Mickelson and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis commented on the 30-second video.
Sen. Fateh is poised to deliver the coup de grace to the once mighty city.
