Only ‘Stupid’ NYC Jews Would Vote For Mamdani

As New York City voters went to the polls on Tuesday, President Donald Trump had a succinct message for Jewish residents, warning them not to vote for the Marxist-Islamist Democratic mayoral nominee, Zohran Mamdani.

In his typically blunt style, Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Any Jewish person that votes for Zohran Mamdani, a proven and self professed JEW HATER, is a stupid person!!!”

Trump has a stellar record of defending Jews from antisemitism; in December 2019, Trump signed Executive Order 13899, “Combating Anti-Semitism,” which expanded the definition of antisemitism to include anti-Zionism and aimed to enforce existing anti-discrimination protections for Jewish people. This order sought to provide federal tools to punish discrimination against Jews, particularly on college campuses. On January 29, 2025, Trump signed Executive Order 14188, “Additional Measures to Combat Anti-Semitism,” which directed federal agencies to aggressively investigate and act against antisemitic harassment, vandalism, and violence, especially targeting pro-Hamas and radical pro-jihadist elements on American campuses and streets. Soon after that, the Justice Department formed a multi-agency Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism, which began investigating universities and took punitive actions, such as canceling federal grants to Columbia University due to alleged failures to protect Jewish students from persistent harassment.

Trump, the most powerful defender the state of Israel has ever had in the White House, had ample reasons for warning Jews about Mamdani.

In 2017, as a rapper, Mamdani praised and voiced his ‘love‘ for the Holy Land Foundation Five, who were convicted for funneling $12 million to Hamas.

Mamdani founded Bowdoin College’s chapter of the virulently anti-Israel group Students for Justice in Palestine.

Speaking in 2023, Mamdani’s hyper-antisemitism, intertwined with his socialist contempt for police and the capitalist system, was amply displayed in a comment about the NYPD and Israel.

Mamdani referred to the “boot of the NYPD” being on the neck of New York City residents, adding that the “boot” was “laced by the IDF.”

In May 2025, Mamdani, who supports the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement that seeks to isolate the state of Israel, refused to say whether Israel had a right to exist as a Jewish state. He has repeatedly referred to Israel’s war against Hamas as a “genocide.”

Mamdani has sponsored a bill that would fine Jewish groups at least $1 million for donating to “unauthorized” charities operating in Israel. The legislation would ban Jewish synagogues and charities from donating to groups such as United Hatzalah and ZAK. These nonprofit groups specialize in emergency response and treatment of victims of terrorism, according to The Jerusalem Post.

His father, Mahmood, a professor at Columbia University, has championed a “third intifada.”
