Is This The Last Christmas In NYC?

New York City has long been the center of capitalism and Christmas. And when these two things merge over the holiday season, it’s a beautiful sight to behold. Massive storefront windows decked out with Christmas lights and the year’s most popular gifts, ice skating in Central Park, snow falling on Broadway, and of course, the massive tree at Rockefeller Center.

Some of the best Christmas movies are based in the Big Apple: “Elf,” “Miracle on 34th Street,” “Home Alone 2.” It’s hard to separate Christmas from America’s largest city, but we may soon have to because Christmas isn’t much appreciated in a socialist system — nor is the Christian holiday tolerated in an Islamic Caliphate for that matter.

With the election of socialist Muslim Zohran Mamdani as NYC’s new mayor, this Christmas could mark the last normal one in New York City for a while, as Mamdani will be sworn in on New Year’s Day.

NYC has always been the beating heart of America’s capitalist system, which is most evident during the holiday season. Now, instead of taking pride in NYC’s capitalism, the mayor-elect says that he opposes the system that made the city great.

Instead of pushing New Yorkers to strive toward the entrepreneurial spirit that’s always been associated with the Big Apple, Mamdani wants to create government-run grocery stores and make transportation completely free. Nothing says Christmas like taking a “free” crowded bus to a government-run grocery store, so you can stand in a bread line.

Of course, Christmas will always survive because it’s a holiday based on the birth of our eternal Savior. But some of the traditions we love about Christmas in NYC could be threatened if Zohran and his socialist coalition get their way.

At The Daily Wire, truth and capitalism are what drive us as a business … obviously. And there’s no better time for freedom-loving capitalists than the season of giving. We’re here to help you take part in the holiday festivities and find the perfect gifts for your loved ones. Whether it be Jeremy’s Razors bundles for men and women, a Mayflower Cigars sampler (now 30% off while supplies last), a fine cashmere sweater from Michael Knowles, or a candle that will bring in the smells of the season, the Daily Wire has you covered.

Stand up for Christmas and the freedom to be generous by rejecting Zohran’s socialist ideas. Capitalism creates the abundance that allows us to give meaningful gifts to the people we love. There’s something special about having the freedom and prosperity to be generous during the Christmas season — and even the iPhone-loving, Lululemon-wearing socialists have to admit that.

Jeremy’s Razors, Mayflower Cigars, and The Candle Club share common ownership with The Daily Wire.
