Prince William gives glimpse inside family’s ‘elegant and grand’ new Windsor home | Royal | News

William and Kate paid for renovation work before moving in, with the video showing the grand decor of the property. In the message, the Prince is seen standing by a large door with gold detailing and crimson curtains.

Photographs can also be seen on the wall, although it is unclear what they show.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, interior design expert Benji Lewis labelled the style as “English, elegant grand country house”.

He added: “The rooms are likely breezy and spacious, and the ceilings lofty and high with beautiful tall windows, which afford an abundance of natural light to flood into the spaces.

“They’ve cleverly struck a tasteful balance between calm and slightly contemporary by blending neutral tones like ivory and taupe.”

The family reportedly want Forest Lodge to be their “forever” home, even when Prince William becomes king.

It is believed they made the house move over half-term to allow Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, time to settle in.

During the Armistice Day video, the Prince said: “Coming together for Remembrance is a vital way to honour those whose service keeps us safe.

“Even today, as we continue to face a number of conflicts across the world, we honour those who have gone before us, and those who are serving now.”
