Epstein vote on Tuesday | Power Line

From Politico,

House plans to vote Tuesday on releasing Epstein files.

I expect the vote will pass with a big margin. Then what? Where are the files? What’s in the files? What is the point of this exercise?

After it passes the House, the bill would then go to the Senate (where it won’t pass) and then to Pres. Trump (who won’t sign it).

But it will generate headlines all weekend that contain both the words “Trump” and “Epstein” in the hope that guilt by association will shave a couple of more points off Trump’s approval ratings. It will likely succeed in that measure as it involves a dead convicted pedophile with questionable architectural tastes.

No one can tell you what “Epstein” means.

From my recollection, “Epstein” is not a subject I’ve had any interest in over the years as I concluded decades ago that there was no there there.

Like Al Capone’s vault and Hanger 18, there is nothing inside of the weird blue building. Sorry.

But I consulted the archive of my 15-year-old Twitter (X) account (@billglahn) and determined that I’ve mentioned Epstein’s name exactly 9 times, ever, and not once prior to 2020. Four posts were “Epstein Island” jokes and five were “Epstein didn’t kill himself” jokes.

But in the search, I did discover this post from the U.K. Daily Mail, from 2021,

Ghislaine Maxwell could expose high-profile figures linked to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein in exchange for a lighter sentence.

She’s been doing this act for a long time. The Daily Mail wrote four years ago,

Maxwell, 60, is the only person who knows the full truth of whether any of the celebrities and dignitaries linked to the late sex offender could be implicated. They include former US presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump; Queen Elizabeth’s second son Prince Andrew and star attorney Alan Dershowitz.

Four years ago, the Biden Administration could have completely destroyed Trump and every other elected Republican and ushered in one-party Democratic rule for the next half century. Instead, the did…nothing.

They tried prosecuting Trump on a whole host of things: election fraud, stealing classified documents, financial crimes, the list goes one. But the one sure-fire, slam-dunk case, they didn’t touch. Why not?

I’ve been searching for the smoking gun, and all I can find is dry ice.
