Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) notifies ICE she has fired a staffer who was accused by ICE of pretending to be the attorney of a previously deported illegal alien in an effort to free him from federal custody. Duckworth tells ICE in letter that she was not aware of, and didn’t authorize or direct the staffer’s conduct.
Sen. Duckworth sent a one paragraph letter, dated today, to ICE announcing the firing, effective today. I wrote about this bizarre incident on Friday.
In her letter to ICE, Duckworth claims that neither she nor her “leadership team” had been aware of the staffer’s actions. Anyone else aware?
I find it amazing that elected Democrats accuse ICE every day of committing crimes in the course of their duties, but the only official ICE-related crimes we can find are committed by official Democrats.
Go figure.
