I think I’ve lost count of the number of false stories the Democrats and liberal media have done against President Donald Trump over the years. There certainly have been a lot of them.
As we noted, they are miserably flaming out on the smears related to the Epstein information, with more information now coming out that’s making Democrats look bad.

However, the left was spreading another one on Monday, involving a picture taken of Trump returning from Palm Beach to the White House on Sunday. You know how desperate they must be with the stuff they’re coming up with now. They claimed that the American flag was lying on the ground behind Trump. So they wanted you to think that Trump, who spent a lot of his own money to put up the poles for the flags, would just leave a flag lying on the ground.

Then there was Newsweek.

They claimed they contacted the White House by email after hours, but they should have waited for the answer before running with this claim.
Even Democrat Rep. Ted Lieu (CA-36) tried to spin it and work it into a metaphor, although he hedged his bets and said “near the ground.”

Lieu got a pretty hefty ratio of people scolding him for this attempt.
The Trump Rapid Response folks then squashed the “fake news.”

You can see the men in the pictures who were working with the flag as well as the container.
Despite this comment and the White House explanation even making it to Grok, Newsweek has not updated its story as of Tuesday morning, 10 E.T.
Lieu is right about one thing: it is symbolic. It’s symbolic of the left’s never-ending effort to target Trump, no matter how dumb the claim.
It’s also symbolic in another way. While Democrats spread nonsense, the real story is how the Trump White House is protecting the flag, even from such a thing as potentially damaging winds. It’s a sign of the care they are taking to act proactively. And that you can see in Trump’s actions to address issues that can be harmful to the United States, like the border issue.
