Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly employing a unique strategy to manage their priorities, with the Duke focusing on familial ties while the Duchess builds her professional identity.
This comes as Prince William is said to be hastening plans to bring his brother back to the UK.
Emma Fabiani, who runs a Meghan Markle fanpage on Instagram, told us: “They seem to be on parallel but compatible paths, she’s building her professional identity, and he’s quietly focusing on family ties.”
Fabiani explained how from an outsider’s perspective, it appears that the Sussexes are adopting a ‘divide and conquer’ approach, allowing each area to receive the necessary attention for success before reconvening.
With Thanksgiving approaching, this could provide an opportunity for both business and family focus, particularly as Meghan becomes more active on Instagram, she outlined.
Harry ‘too royal’
Fabiani added: “At the same time, that kind of marketing can cut both ways, it strengthens Meghan’s image as an entrepreneur, but it could also risk complicating Harry’s narrative if the media frame it as ‘too royal a showcase,'”.
The Sussexes typically have low-key Thanksgivings, but this year may be different, with Harry seeking a Royal reconciliation and Meghan launching her lifestyle brand. When asked about their plans and how these two areas might intersect, Fabiani remained tight-lipped, reports the Express US.
“As Ever has already shared a small teaser ahead of Thanksgiving, which shows they’ve started setting the holiday tone early. It’s a smart move strategically: getting ahead of the season helps them tap into the festive mood before the big promotional rush,” commented Fabiani.
Major celebration plan
Fabiani believes that the Sussexes’ plans will be “balanced and consistent,” based on her observations.
Harry is seeking a Royal reconciliation, especially with his father, King Charles, and while Thanksgiving isn’t celebrated in the U.K., it wouldn’t harm to give the Royal Family a mention on Instagram, where Meghan has been increasingly active recently.
We sought the opinion of Pauline Maclaran regarding Meghan’s marketing strategies and how they align with Harry’s return to Royal life.
Royal author’s insight
Maclaran, a Royal author and professor of consumer marketing, is ideally placed to provide an evaluation.
She stated: “Meghan certainly seems to have been sharing more of their private side so she may feature their Thanksgiving celebrations in some way on her Instagram – perhaps to feature her wine as a reminder to order for Christmas. But mainly to keep her presence on social media.
“I suspect she is saving most of her efforts for the Christmas trade which makes sense as there is much more gift-giving at this time. Her products are ideal as presents!”
