As I assume all of our readers know, I serve as President of Center of the American Experiment, the principal conservative organization in Minnesota. We lead the fight to turn Minnesota away from its leftward drift and return it to the position of respect that it enjoyed for many years. And the battle is closer than most people realize: for example, in the 2024 Congressional elections, Democrats received 50.2% of the votes in the state’s eight districts, while Republicans got 49.6%. That is about as close as you can get.
Today is Give to the Max day in Minnesota, when people are encouraged to support the state’s nonprofits. American Experiment has a $75,000 match in place, so that all contributions up to $75,000 that we receive today will be matched. So if you contribute today, your impact will be doubled.
The Give to the Max leaderboard is here. American Experiment is in the “large organizations” category, where currently we rank 17th. That isn’t too bad, but we trail behind organizations like Save the Boundary Waters (i.e., don’t mine, ever, anywhere) and Minnesota Public Radio. (To be fair, there are also some great organizations ahead of us, and we outrank groups like PBS and the ACLU.)
