Man in 30s dies in M20 multi vehicle crash | UK | News

A man has died in a multi-vehicle crash on the M20 as another driver was airlifted to hospital. The man in his 30s was driving a black Nissan Qashai on the London-bound carriageway of the M20 when he was involved in the incident with two lorries.

The crash took place on the morning of Tuesday, November 25 and the driver was confirmed dead at the scene, Kent Live reports. Kent Police said the incident involved a white Mercedes lorry, a black Nissan Qashqai and a white Scania articulated lorry between junctions nine and eight.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “The vehicles were involved in a collision at 8.27am on Tuesday 25 November 2025. Emergency services attended the scene and the driver of the Nissan, a man in his 30s, was confirmed to be deceased at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.”

The driver of the Mercedes lorry was taken by air ambulance to a London hospital for treatment for serious injuries. Kent Police are asking for any witnesses of the crash to come forward with information.

The collision closed the motorway for hours as it triggered a huge emergency response with police, fire and ambulance crews as well as the air ambulance in attendance. According to National Highways the M20 remained closed until approximately 11.50pm on Tuesday.

Officers from Kent Police’s serious collision investigation unit are carrying out enquiries and urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw the vehicles before the collision, to contact them.
