If the Democrats had any good arguments to make, would they make so many bad ones? I don’t think so.
A case in point comes from Amy Klobuchar, who is usually regarded as one of the less-dumb Dems. But check this out:

The chart does indeed show something soaring–average past-due utility balances, a very odd statistic–but it soars during the Biden administration. Someone helpfully added a line at the point where President Trump was inaugurated:
This is like the time when, early in the Trump administration, the Democrats were trying blame President Trump for the rising price of eggs, and they tweeted a chart about the cost of eggs, where the last data point was before Trump took office. These are pathetic efforts that the Democrats wouldn’t undertake if they had good arguments at their disposal.
But there is a broader point here that is more important. It is true that the cost of electricity has been rising steadily. The reason is the expenditure of many billions of dollars, perhaps into the trillions by now, that have been wasted on “green” energy, with the costs charged to ratepayers–i.e., all of us. The Democratic Party is responsible for those price increases. The Trump administration, which has turned its back on the Green New Deal, is doing everything possible to bring down the cost of electricity by promoting reliable, affordable power. For Democrats to blame the high cost of electricity on the Trump administration is a special kind of dishonesty.
