New footage reveals the heroic actions of a National Guardsman who opened fire on Rahmanullah Lakanwal as the Afghan terror suspect was carrying out a brazen daylight ambush on two fellow guard members on Thanksgiving eve.
Lakanwal, a 29-year-old Afghan refugee initially escorted into the United States on a temporary visa issued to him in 2021 by the Biden administration, is seen in video and live images obtained by the Wall Street Journal brandishing a revolver.
A witness revealed that Lakanwal had opened fire on Sarah Beckstrom and Andrew Wolfe on the streets of Washington, D.C., which sent another guardsman racing around the corner while desperately reloading his weapon.
The Journal reports that “five seconds later,” the guardsman returned fire in the direction of the suspect. Investigators had separately reported that a review of video footage at the scene showed a guard member exchanged fire with the terrorist prior to, as the New York Post reports, additional troops were “able to run over and pin the gunman down as he was taken into custody.”
Images of the aftermath also show the 20-year-old Beckstrom and 24-year-old Wolfe lying on the sidewalk.
President Trump has since confirmed that Beckstrom tragically succumbed to her injuries. Wolfe, according to the latest reports, is still clinging to life.

The sight of a terrorist gunning down a National Guard member in broad daylight on the streets of the nation’s capital is chilling. To say the least. Thanks to Biden, they ended up on our streets regardless.
Beckstrom’s death has led to upgraded first-degree murder charges against the suspect. Attorney General Pam Bondi is vowing to pursue the death penalty.
On Friday, President Trump announced his intent to continue cleaning up the streets and getting America-hating terrorists and/or potential future terrorists out of the country.

The President revealed he is ordering a “permanent pause” on immigration from all third-world countries, and he will terminate all illegal entries into the country under the Biden administration. It is a necessary move. At an absolute minimum.
“I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the U.S. system to fully recover, terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions … and remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States, or is incapable of loving our Country,” Trump wrote on social media.
