An Afghan migrant has been arrested after filming himself apparently building a bomb with an eye on targeting a major US city.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has said Mohammad Dawood Alokozay posted a video on TikTok threatening to blow up a building in Fort Worth, Texas with a bomb.
He was arrested on Tuesday by the Texas Department of Public Safety and the FBI, before being charged with making terroristic threats.
US immigration authorities have since lodged an arrest detainer urging local authorities to let them know if Mr Alokozay is let go.
It’s said that the migrant has been held in Dallas’s Tarrant County Jail since November 25.
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin has now revealed that the Afghan arrived in the States under Operation Allies Welcome – the same as DC shooting suspect Rahmanullah Lakanwal.
Her department also released a fiery attack on the Biden administration for “flooding our communities with criminals” through the resettlement scheme.
“Tens of thousands of unvetted Afghan aliens have hurt and terrorised Americans after the Biden administration flooded our communities with criminals, terrorists, and other threats,” it said on Saturday night.

The department’s warning mirrors that of Donald Trump, who just days ago promised to permanently pause migration from “all third world countries”.
The President unveiled a seven-point plan pledging to:
- Permanently pause migration from all third world countries to allow the US system to fully recover;
- Terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by “Sleepy Joe Biden’s Autopen“;
- Remove anyone who is not a “net asset to the United States”;
- Remove anyone who is “incapable of loving our country”;
- End all federal benefits and subsidies to non-US citizens;
- Denaturalise migrants who “undermine domestic tranquility”;
- Deport any foreign national who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western civilisation.

REUTERSThe major crackdown came in response to the killing of National Guardswoman Sarah Beckstrom, allegedly at the hands of 29-year-old Lakanwal.
Officials said the suspect was part of a CIA-backed unit in Afghanistan before coming to the US in 2021 as part of “Operation Allies Welcome” in the aftermath of the US withdrawal from his country – similar to Britain’s own covered-up relocation scheme.
Vice President JD Vance said: “I remember back in 2021 criticising the Biden policy of opening the floodgate to unvetted Afghan refugees.
“Friends sent me messages calling me a racist. It was a clarifying moment. They shouldn’t have been in our country.
“Many of our voters will demand not just words, but action, and this is an entirely appropriate response.”
