Donald Trump clashes with reporters in awkward moment as he asks ‘are you stupid?’

Watch the moment President Donald Trump feuds with reporters demanding details about his recent MRI scan.

The US President makes CBS News’ Nancy Cordes the target of his ire as he asks whether she is a “stupid person” after she challenged his claim that the Biden administration had failed to vet Afghan refugees.

“Are you a stupid person?”, asked Mr Trump. “They came in on a plane along with thousands of other people that shouldn’t be here, and you’re just asking questions because you’re a stupid person.”

It follows a series of personal attacks from the US President to reporters.

The day before, Mr Trump took aim at New York Times report Katie Rogers, accusing her of being asked to “only write bad things” about him.

He called her a “third-rate reporter who is ugly, both inside and out.”

Earlier this month, he told Bloomberg’s White House correspondent, Catherine Lucey, to be “quiet, piggy” on Air Force One.

When asked about Mr Trump’s remarks, the White House claimed the reporter had “behaved in an inappropriate manner and unprofessional way”.

President Trump revealed he would make public the findings from an MRI scan conducted in October. The announcement came whilst speaking with journalists aboard his return flight to Washington.

The President indicated his willingness to share the medical examination results, which he had undergone two months prior. This disclosure marks the first time Trump has publicly acknowledged undergoing the diagnostic imaging procedure.

The October MRI examination had not been previously disclosed by the White House, with the president’s announcement on Sunday bringing the medical test to light for the first time.

“If you want to have it released, I’ll release it,” Mr Trump told reporters during the exchange. The president characterised the examination findings as “perfect” when discussing the medical test with journalists.

His offer to make the results public came in response to questions about the October procedure.

Mr Trump’s description of the MRI outcomes as flawless was delivered without elaboration on what the scan had revealed.

The President’s comments represent his first public statements regarding the nature of the test results. His assurance about the “perfect” findings was given without any accompanying medical documentation or further clinical details.

The administration has maintained silence regarding the medical rationale behind the October MRI.

Officials at the White House have not responded to enquiries about what prompted the diagnostic imaging procedure.

No explanation has emerged from presidential staff about whether the scan was routine or necessitated by specific health concerns.

The administration’s reticence extends to basic details about the medical examination’s purpose.

This lack of transparency from White House representatives leaves fundamental questions unanswered about the president’s health assessment.

The administration has yet to clarify whether the MRI was part of regular health monitoring or ordered to investigate particular symptoms or conditions.
