A woman widely believed to be Vladimir Putin’s secret daughter has apologised for her father’s invasion of Ukraine.
Luiza Rozova, 22, was approached by Ukrainian reporter Dmytro Sviatnenko on the streets of Paris and said: “I’m really sorry that this is happening.
“Unfortunately, I’m not responsible for this situation.”
The encounter, captured on video and shared online, showed Ms Rozova covering her face and requesting not to be filmed.
She appeared to have a professional bodyguard alongside her during the exchange.
When pressed about the Kremlin’s actions, she maintained she was powerless.
“I’m really sorry, but I can’t answer your question,” she said, adding: “I’m glad you had the courage to come up to me and talk.”
Mr Sviatnenko revealed a deeply personal motivation for the confrontation, telling Rozova: “Three weeks ago, the man believed to be your father killed my brother.”
He also questioned how she could live in Europe when Kremlin propaganda portrays the continent as hostile.

Ms Rozova initially objected to being recorded, blasting: “I did not give you permission to film me.”
The journalist responded: “Well, you know, Kyiv is currently without power, and there’s an air raid alert right now. We didn’t give our permission for this either.”
Sviatnenko invited her to visit the Ukrainian capital or the frontline city of Pokrovsk.
“Well, can you imagine? How am I going to go there now?” she replied.
He offered to purchase her plane ticket himself.

When asked whether her family discussed the conflict at home, she declined to answer.
Rozova, whose legal name is Elizaveta Krivonogikh, was born in 2003 and is thought to be the child of Putin and Svetlana Krivonogikh.
Her mother reportedly had a relationship with the Russian President in the late 1990s.
Svetlana Krivonogikh was transformed from a cleaner into a woman of considerable wealth, acquiring shares in the sanctioned Rossiya Bank and amassing a property empire worth more than £75million.
She is also said to own the Leningrad Centre in Mr Putin’s hometown St Petersburg, a venue famous for its provocative performances.
Ms Rozova grew up in luxury, travelling by private jet and wearing designer clothing.
She now lives in self-imposed exile in Paris, where she reportedly works at anti-war art galleries including L Galerie in Belleville and Espace Albatros in Montreuil.
German publication Bild reported in August that she had written about “the man who took millions of lives and destroyed mine”.

Neither the “lovechild” nor the Kremlin has ever publicly confirmed any connection between her and Mr Putin.
The Russian leader’s private life has remained closely guarded for decades, with questions about his children considered off-limits in Russian media.
The President was married to former flight attendant Lyudmila Putina from 1983 until their divorce in 2014.
They have two daughters: Maria Vorontsova, 40, a paediatric endocrinologist, and Katerina Tikhonova, 39, a dancer.
He has never appeared publicly with either daughter but confirmed in 2017 that he was a grandfather.
Reports have long linked him to former Olympic gymnast Alina Kabaeva, 42, with claims they married in 2013 and have two sons together.
In May 2022, Britain imposed sanctions on Putin’s inner circle, including both Ms Kabaeva and his ex-wife Lyudmila.
