The Omar angle | Power Line

Benjamin Weingarten is the author of the aptly titled American Ingrate: Ilhan Omar and the Progressive-Islamist Takeover of the Democratic Party (foreword by Andrew McCarthy). At his Substack site, Ben has posted his research on the links among Ilhan Omar, the Feeding Our Future fraud, and the Feeding Our Future fraudsters. Ben asks: “Did Ilhan Omar Rake in More Campaign Cash From More ‘Feeding Our Future’ Scandal Fraudsters Than Has Been Reported?” (“Campaign finance records indicate ‘Yes.’ And there’s more to investigate regarding her nexus to the scandal.”)

President Trump could use a quick briefing on the last chapter of Ben’s book. In his interview with Politico’s Dasha Burns, President Trump slightly garbles the facts of Omar’s case, although his aim is true: “I don’t want to see Somalia. I don’t want to see a woman that, you know, marries her brother to get in and then becomes a congressman and does nothing but complain. All she does is complain, complain, complain, and yet her country’s a mess. You know, it’s, uh, one of the worst in the world. Uh, let her go back, fix up her own country.”
