There were a few fireworks on the Hill on Thursday, as Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem testified before the House Homeland Security Committee.

The House voted down Democrat Rep. Al Green’s (TX-09) 817th attempt to impeach President Trump.
It being Friday, there aren’t many hearings or meetings set, but the House Energy and Commerce Committee is holding a Member Day Hearing this morning.
On Thursday, the Senate voted down Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) bid to extend Obamacare credits. The Senate also agreed on the resolution to proceed with en bloc consideration of 97 of President Trump’s nominees.
White House What’s Up
On Friday afternoon, President Trump will participate in the swearing-in ceremony for the CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and Chairman of EXIM Bank in the Oval Office. After that, he’ll participate in a bill-signing ceremony.

Dir. National Intelligence – Tulsi Gabbard — Gabbard joined Fox & Friends Friday morning to rake Democrat Rep. Bennie Thompson (MS-02) over the coals for his (mis)characterization of the terrorist attack on National Guard troops the day before Thanksgiving.

- ❌ Abrego Garcia v. Noem – Part 2 (habeas), Judge Paula Xinis (Maryland) GRANTS petitioner’s habeas request and orders his immediate release from ICE custody.

- ❌ State of Washington v. FEMA (denial of federal grants), Judge Richard Stearns (Massachusetts) GRANTS plaintiffs’ motion for summary judgment; DENIES admin’s.
