Active Shooter at Brown University in Rhode Island, Multiple Injuries, Suspect on the Loose – RedState

A terrifying situation is still unfolding Saturday afternoon at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, as shots were fired and students were told to shelter in place because an active shooter is still out there.





Although details are scant, we know that students are being told to “hide and fight”:

Students at Brown University are being urge to ‘run, hide and fight’ amid fears of an active shooter.

The Ivy League campus in Providence, Rhode Island has been shutdown following reports of ‘multiple victims’.

The terrifying incident unfolded near Barus and Holley Engineering, according to an alert sent out.

There has been no official confirmation of casualties, but there may be 20 or more wounded or worse, according to witnesses on the ground.





The alert students received was chilling:

“Remember: RUN, if you are in the affected location, evacuate safely if you can; HIDE, if evacuation is not possible, take cover; FIGHT, as a last resort, take action to protect yourself,” school officials wrote in the alert. “Stay tuned for further safety information.”
