Authorities in Rhode Island are responding to reports of an active shooter at Brown University.
On Saturday afternoon, officials at the school alerted students that there was an active shooter near the Barus and Holley engineering building, according to Fox News. A text alert instructed students to “lock doors, silence phones and stay hidden until further notice.”
Injuries or fatalities remain unclear, though reporter Nick Sorter said there could be at least six casualties so far, based on police radio alerts.
“Believed to be at least six casualties so far, as more victims continue being found, per radio traffic,” Sortor said. “The masked gunman is currently at large. Pray for the students at Brown.”
