Drivers are being warned of delays on a major motorway in Wales following a vehicle fire, which has caused long delays.
Traffic Wales reported a huge vehicle fire, prompting the temporary closure of the M4 between J37 Pyle and J36 Sarn.
The transport organisation stated that two lanes were closed eastbound from J37 A4229 (Pyle/Porthcawl) to J36 A4061 (Bridgend/Sarn Service Area).
Traffic Wales South reported that police are on the scene and the fire service is en route to the incident.
They warned that motorists should “expect delays” if they are travelling in the area, which could impact thousands of drivers.
GB News has contacted South Wales Police and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service for a comment.
In the latest update to its official social media account, Traffic Wales reported that all lanes have now reopened, thanking drivers for their patience.
Despite this, traffic maps show minor delays in the area, although this is likely to subside soon.
Drivers are still dealing with delays on the M4

The delays come as drivers brace for travel chaos, with tens of millions of drivers expected to take a leisure trip this weekend.
Traffic today (Saturday, December 20) is expected to be the busiest getaway of any year since the RAC started tracking Christmas travel habits in 2013.
Around 37.5 million leisure trips are expected to take place in the week leading up to Christmas Day, smashing last year’s 29.3 million trips.
The incident took place between J37 (Pyle) and J36 (Sarn)
