Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been urged by royal fans to stay in the US for Christmas. The couple have not spent Christmas with the royals since 2018, the year before their son was born.
The couple marked Prince Archie’s first Christmas in 2019 in Canada with Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland. They have since spent Christmas in California every year since 2020.
Royal fans were asked in a poll conducted by the Express, which ran between 9.30am on December 21 and 12.30pm on December 23, if they would like to see the couple change their plans and travel to the UK this year.
Of the 6,458 people who voted, 6,186 shared that the family should remain in California.
A contrast from the people not wanting the royals and Sussexes to reunite, 219 people voted that they would to see Meghan and Harry back with the royals for Christmas.
An additional 53 people voted that they were undecided on what the Sussexes should do this year.
Taking to the comment section, one royal fan wrote: “NO NO AND NO”.
A second wrote: “They can stay in California forever. They need never come back to the uk..I mean it’s not safe…and stamping their feet isn’t going to get them their desired security. They are insignificant to the [Royal Family].”
A third also added: “Absolutely NO. They bring trouble with them wherever they go. We’ve got enough problems as it without these two mooching about.”
Meghan and Harry are said to be gearing up to spend Christmas Day at their home in Montecito with six-year-old Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet. The couple are also reportedly celebrating the new year with a holiday with friends.
