Putin’s mouthpiece threatens nuclear annihilation in Europe | World | News

One of the most prominent Russian propagandists advocated for nuclear holocaust in order to see Russia thriving. Vladimir Solovyov, a TV host and close ally of Vladimir Putin, lashed out at Ukraine in its radio show ‘Full Contact’.

In the broadcast, Solovyov made several unproven claims, including that “no one is planning to make peace” with Russia and that there will be hundreds of thousands of NATO “mercenaries” near the Russian border in an unspecified future. The propagandist, who has been awarded the Order of Honour by Vladimir Putin in 2013, then argued in favour of the use of nuclear weapons to protect his motherland.

He said, seemingly referring to Ukraine: “Pardon me, but I’m an ardent proponent of using nuclear weapons. I am an ardent proponent. All we are doing is ensuring the security of our Motherland for a future generation, so our people and our culture can thrive.

“If we have to erase our systemic enemies off the face of the earth to achieve this, if it’s a choice of either us or them, pardon, why would we choose them?  Why do you want me to go against the Bible? Pardon, doesn’t the story of Sodom and Gomorrah tell you anything?”

Seemingly referring to a passage in the Genesis, he added: “If there are fewer than 10 righteous men, then… where are the righteous people in Odesa or Mykolaiv, in Kyiv’s government district or its parliament?”

Mentioning areas of Russia bordering with Ukraine first, and then Ukrainian regions, he said: “Why are we putting up with this? Do you think the wellbeing of Kursk and Belgorod is above the wellbeing of Sumy and Kharkiv for me?”

Solovyov concluded his rant quoting Putin’s announcement in February 2022, when he told the world Russian troops were entering Ukraine in an unlawful and unprovoked invasion: “There is no choice. Our Supreme Commander-in-Chief clearly said, ‘Who needs the world if Russia isn’t in it?'”

The propagandist has often advocated for the use of nuclear weapons against various targets in Europe – including the UK.

In the past, he called on the Kremlin to deploy the Poseidon underwater nuclear drone against Britain
