Princess Catherine has made a rare comment about her eldest son this week during the Christmas Day walkabout. The Princess of Wales, 43, was one of the many royals to take part in the public walkabout on Thursday after attending a church service at St. Mary Magdalene on the Sandringham Estate.
Alongside her husband Prince William and their three children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, the princess was all smiles as she chatted to members of the public, accepted numerous bouquets of flowers and shook many people’s hands. It was during this walkabout that she also bumped into a royal fan she had seen many times before, and had a conversation about Prince George’s height.
The royal fan told Catherine that he thought George was going to end up being about 6’4” in height, with the young prince seeming to have grown a lot this year.
This resulted in a laugh from Princess Catherine, who said: “I know, I swear, he’s catching up with everybody, isn’t he?”
This is not the first time Catherine has addressed just how tall George is, with the princess having made a comment earlier this year about his height.
She had said to fans in London just months ago: “George is already in my shoes.”
Royal fans also took to X on Christmas Day to talk about how tall George, who is second-in-line to the throne, is, with one fan writing: “Oh, my days! How tall is Prince George?”
