Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham offered a glimpse into their festive celebrations at their Cotswolds estate on Boxing Day, sharing footage many observers interpreted as a pointed message amid their ongoing rift with eldest son Brooklyn Beckham.
The couple posted a video of themselves slow dancing and singing along to Guilty, the 1980 duet by Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb, which features the lyric: “We’ve got nothing to be sorry for.”
Victoria captioned the Instagram post: “David and Victoria giving their very best Barry and Barbra on Christmas Day xxx kisses from us both xx @davidbeckham.”
The choice of song was widely interpreted as deliberate, given reports of growing tensions within the family and claims that Brooklyn, 26, has been seeking an apology from his parents on behalf of his wife, actress Nicola Peltz.

Brooklyn was notably absent from the family’s Christmas gathering, having spent the festive period in Miami with Nicola’s relatives.
The aspiring chef is understood to have cut off communication with his parents and siblings on social media in recent days.
His younger brother Cruz, 20, publicly addressed the situation last weekend, rejecting suggestions that David and Victoria had unfollowed Brooklyn first.
“My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I,” Cruz wrote on Instagram.

He also confirmed that his brother Romeo, 23, and sister Harper, 14, had been blocked by Brooklyn.
Nicola does not follow David or Victoria on Instagram and the couple no longer follow her.
Reports have suggested tensions between the families date back to Brooklyn and Nicola’s April 2022 wedding, with alleged disagreements over arrangements including the bride’s dress and the first dance.
Brooklyn was also accused months later of covering a tattoo reading “Mama’s Boy” with words written by Nicola in a note before their wedding.
By dancing to a song proclaiming their innocence, the Beckhams appeared to signal they feel no responsibility for the current breakdown in relations with their eldest child.
While his parents celebrated in the UK, Brooklyn shared his own social media posts from the US that many viewed as equally loaded with meaning.
On Christmas Eve, he uploaded a photograph of his tattooed hands clasped with Nicola’s, captioned: “My Everything.”
He later posted a TikTok video of himself walking through a city to Lady Gaga’s “Telephone”, highlighting the lyric “sorry I cannot hear you I’m kinda busy”, which observers interpreted as a thinly veiled response to the family drama.
On Christmas Day, Brooklyn was pictured playing tennis with professional player Reilly Opelka and Nicola’s brother Bradley at the Peltz family’s Palm Beach mansion.
Meanwhile, the Beckhams’ Christmas celebrations in the Cotswolds included their three younger children and extended family, with Victoria’s parents Jackie and Anthony Adams and David’s mother Sandra also in attendance.

David, Romeo and Cruz were also pictured wearing Santa hats in the run-up to Christmas, with Cruz serving cocktails on Christmas Eve.
Brooklyn’s absence from family events has become increasingly noticeable throughout 2025.
He did not attend David’s 50th birthday celebrations in May and did not publicly acknowledge his father’s knighthood in November.
Friends of the family have said the estrangement has been particularly upsetting for the Beckhams’ mothers, describing them as “extremely sad” about the ongoing situation.
