I’m sure I say this every year, but I can’t believe how quickly 2025 has gone. It only seems like yesterday that I was preparing to launch this column in the New Year and reflecting on the difficulties that 2024 brought for the Royal Family. Now it’s time to do the same.
The past 12 months have been a time of hope, togetherness and strength. The King sought to push through his cancer treatment and maintain an impressive schedule of events, from trips to Italy, Canada and the demands of hosting three state visits at Windsor. But the perfect ending came when he announced the doctors have given him the green-light to reduce his treatment from January.
The rest of my column will be used to rank my top 10 royal events of 2025. And as you read it I hope you can reflect on your own highs and lows and look forward to a very Happy New Year. May 2026 bring happiness, health and prosperity.
