Morrisons giving 50% discounts to customers – have to act quick | UK | News

Customers at Morrisons will be able to get 50% off certain purchases, but they have to be quick about it. The British supermarket, which has close to 500 large stores across the country, is offering parents more than 50% off baby essentials in-store and online in January. The deal started on January 21 and only continues while stocks last. However, another Morrisons Baby Event is expected in April.

The event is designed to support families with babies in 2026 with the cost of essentials. Special deals available as part of the January sale include a Tommee Tippee Breast Pump for £35, a high chair for just £17 and a booster seat for £10. When it comes to the Tommee Tippee Made for Me Single Electric Breast Pump, it scores an impressive 4.5 out of 5 when reviewed by Made For Mums. The items on sale are going to prove to be popular, so parents are urged to act fast to take advantage of these prices.

On average, this includes around £60 on nappies, £243 on clothing, £70 on feeding equipment and £200 on things like toys and furniture. Meanwhile, a new cot can cost anywhere from £70 to £800, while the price of a car seat starts at around £100.

Morrisons isn’t the only supermarket in the UK to put on a special promotion for new parents to help with the cost of having a baby and raising a family. Aldi has also taken action to help.

The retailer is bringing back its Mamia New Parent Fund for 2026, following its launch last year. As the name suggests, the programme aims to support new parents with the cost of essentials, such as nappies. Parents have to email mamiaparentfund@aldi.co.uk with a receipt showing their latest Mamia purchase to be in with a chance of receiving the £100 voucher.

The Mamia range includes nappies, wipes, baby food and toiletries.
