Wokeness in the medical profession became more pronounced during the 2020 BLM/Antifa-led riots, where the same folks who told us that desiring to go back to work during the pandemic was the equivalent of wanting grandma to die were perfectly okay with “peaceful protesters” violating just about every government mandate and CDC recommendation about “staying safe” in the interest of “social justice.”
The insidious nature of these people has become even more apparent in the years that have followed, most notably on issues like “gender transition counseling” and surgeries for pre-teens and teens. There were also the extraordinarily vile things some healthcare professionals said in the aftermath of the horrific Camp Mystic flooding tragedy in Texas and then, two months later, after the assassination of TPUSA co-founder Charlie Kirk.
More recently, there have been reports of woke, anti-ICE sentiment in some hospitals and clinics, as we learned last Thursday, after NYPD detectives alleged hostile treatment from staff at a nearby hospital because some in the facility allegedly mistook them for ICE agents.
As RedState’s Becky Noble reported on Tuesday, we’ve seen “some of the most heinous and inhumane reactions to these [ICE] events” on social media “from the very people charged with caring for people, regardless of who they are.”
Among them was Malinda Cook, CRNA at VCU Medical Center, Richmond. Ms. Cook has now been fired by VCU Health after TikTok videos of her urging others in her field to do things that could medically harm or otherwise incapacitate immigration enforcement officers went viral and sparked backlash:
UPDATE: Following an investigation, the individual involved in the social media videos is no longer employed by VCU Health. In addition, VCU Health has fulfilled its reporting requirements under Virginia state law. https://t.co/TlnkbynMft pic.twitter.com/tVvDZtzh0h

For anyone who didn’t see the videos of what Cook was advocating, Dr. Kelly Victory explains how, in one of the videos, what Cook was calling on her fellow woke nurses to do could have led to someone’s death.
“This woman — a healthcare worker — is encouraging people to attempt murder,” Dr. Victory concluded.
To be clear: Injecting someone with succinylcholine– a “temporary paralysis drug”, would be attempted murder. This is a paralytic drug that prevents an individual from breathing. Unless artificial respiration is provided, that individual will die. This woman — a healthcare… https://t.co/Vzxap0SUn1

But though Ms. Cook is no longer with VCU Health, questions remain:
How do you know this person hasn’t killed anyone under your care? Should people who have had relatives in this woman’s care be demanding an investigation? It’s not enough to fire her. How can anyone trust you for care?

Are you investigating all of her cases and reviewing this incident with your personnel? How pervasive is this sociopathy among your staff?

Relatedly, there were rumors that Cook also worked for Duke University Hospital, but her LinkedIn profile shows she hasn’t been there since December 2018.
We’re living in some incredibly uncertain times right now, y’all. Stay safe.
Editor’s Note: Democrat politicians and their radical supporters will do everything they can to interfere with and threaten ICE agents enforcing our immigration laws.
