It is understood that the building currently on fire is used as a restaurant on the ground floor with accommodation above the eatery, as per West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
Nearby accomodation means that the fire places housing and a local business at risk of also burning.
Firefighters have so far deployed eight breathing apparatuses, four hose reels and one large jet as the battle continues, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.
