Christian Horner and Geri Halliwell give glimpse into stunning £9.2m countryside mansion

The newest season of Netflix’s Formula 1 documentary series Drive to Survive offers viewers an unprecedented glimpse into the private world of Christian Horner and Geri Halliwell at their sprawling £9.2million Oxfordshire residence.

The streaming platform’s cameras gained access to the couple’s home in Marston Saint Lawrence, near Banbury, capturing both everyday moments and deeply personal scenes.

Most strikingly, the footage includes the heart-wrenching moment when Horner, 52, informed his visibly emotional wife that Red Bull had dismissed him from his role as team principal.

The former Spice Girl had to console her husband after he was left in tears following his departure from the team he led for two decades.

The property itself showcases remarkable amenities befitting its substantial price tag, with the Netflix crew filming sweeping shots of an expansive driveway, equestrian facilities and outdoor pool.

Horner and Halliwell, who run the horse racing company OMBI, constructed stabling capable of accommodating 14 horses on the grounds.

The estate features Grade II listed buildings alongside a substantial outdoor garage area, where four vehicles resembling Land Rovers and Range Rovers were visible during filming.

Beyond the outdoor amenities, the residence includes an indoor swimming pool, a lake suitable for boating, and its own helipad.

The grounds feature immaculately maintained lawns with precise striping and carefully trimmed hedgerows throughout.

The documentary also captured more lighthearted interactions between the couple, with footage showing them sharing jokes beside their stunning swimming pool as Horner playfully threatened to push Geri into the water.

Horner has previously spoken about how the property serves as an escape from his high-pressure motorsport career.

“Restoring the farm has been my hobby the way I put racing out of my mind,” he said.

“The main house is finished but now the barns are being converted. We’re currently putting the finishing touches to an indoor swimming pool.”

The couple have recently encountered opposition from local residents regarding their proposed 77ft horse walker exercise pen, which would have capacity for up to eight horses.

The mansion provided the setting for Horner’s devastating conversation with his wife about his dismissal from Red Bull last July.

In the footage, he informs the former Spice Girl that everything was “all done and dusted”.

“How do I feel? I never imagined to be in this position,” Horner said.

“Of course your immediate reaction when you get delivered a s*** sandwich like that is, like, f*** them.

“I’ve had something taken away from me that wasn’t my choice, that was very precious to me.”

He also revealed that Halliwell had sensed trouble ahead, recalling: “We came back from that Austria race and I remember you sat on the bed one night and went, ‘Something really bad’s gonna happen’.”
