From the California Post,

Trump shares apocalyptic footage of San Francisco under Gavin Newsom — and how nice it was decades ago.

You can see the dueling videos here:

The Post quotes President Trump,

You can’t go into San Francisco. It’s not livable. Fifteen years ago, it was the best city in the country, one of the best cities in the world, and now you can’t do anything.

I performed a similar experiment back in October 2018. At the time, It had been thirteen years since my most recent visit (July 2005) to the city, which I had first visited in 1992. In between, I have been there on at least two dozen occasions, mostly for business reasons.

Trump is correct, San Francisco was once one of the world’s greatest cities. Unfortunately, the robber barons of its heyday eventually gave way to the woke idiots who drove it into the ground under a guise of compassion.

My photos/videos of that trip were lost two cell phones ago. I made a special point of touring Market Street and the Tenderloin to see how far it had fallen.

On that 2018 trip, I made one last visit to my favorite haunts, listed alphabetically,

I’m sure that I’m forgetting a few. But I took one last cable car ride, and I have not been back since.
