A Stunning Revelation | Power Line

I saw a tweet this morning that said Esmail Qaani, the head of Iran’s Quds Force, had been shot by the IRGC because he was discovered to be an Israeli spy. Astonishing news. But now, an even more stunning revelation: Qaani was indeed a Mossad agent, but he was not shot. He is safe in Israel:

Esmail Qaani is being described as “the longest serving Mossad agent in history.”

For the head of the Quds force to be an Israeli agent would be like Heinrich Himmler turning out to be a spy for the British, or like–as was actually the case–the head of British counterintelligence being a Russian spy. Or, perhaps, like the head of the CIA being someone who voted for the Communist Party candidate for President of the United States. That happened too.

But enough digression. This is an absolutely astonishing discovery, the implications of which will become clear over time. It appears that from the very beginning of the Islamic revolution, Israel has had an agent in the top ranks of the Iranian military. And now he has been spirited away to Israel, no doubt an exciting story in itself.

I suppose this is how the Israelis knew that all of Iran’s top leaders would be together last Saturday.
