On Friday afternoon, Iranian-Americans held a rally in front of the Thomas F. Eagleton United States Courthouse in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. The group of about 50 people was there to ask Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) if he would join them in support of Reza Pahlavi as a possible leader in a transitional government.
A few members of the group were able to meet with representatives in Schmitt’s office. While specific details of the meeting could not be disclosed, several members of the group in the meeting told RedState personal stories of how they and their families have been affected by the brutal Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

One woman I spoke to at the rally named Sheri has been in the U.S. for 41 years. On Friday, she learned that her cousin in Tehran had died of cancer. The regime denied her medical treatment because they said she was “too old.” She was 59 years old. Sheri has also had other family members, who were part of the recent protests in Iran, killed by the regime.
Amina Muhammedalipour teaches physics at a local university. She also has family members in Tehran whom she is very worried about. At that point, she apologized because she said she could not talk about her homeland without crying.

Raymond is a Christian pastor. He laid out very stark facts, saying that every single member of the former regime must be killed. If even one person is left alive, it will reconstitute, and nothing will change.
He also mentioned Europe and what mass immigration has done to it. He bluntly stated what is fairly obvious to many people: “Europe is gone.”
Pastor Raymond also talked about a story he said not many people know of, that in Biblical times, Iranians under King Cyrus lived in an open society of freedom, human rights, and equality between men and women. But in the seventh century, Islam changed all of that. He called Islam “a cancer,” and said that unless we address it, everything that is going on in Europe presently is coming to the U.S.

Ahdieh Coleman has been in the U.S. for 30 years. She is a member of the Baha’i faith. As a member of a minority religion in Iran, she felt the brunt of the Khamenei regime. She talked about getting kicked out of school twice because of her faith. All said, if you are any sort of minority in Iran, you will be persecuted.
There were two things that every person RedState talked to was in full agreement on. They are all immensely grateful to President Trump and the American people for getting rid of the regime. And they all stated emphatically that the one person they want to lead their nation in the coming time of transition is Reza Pahlavi.
Donald Trump recently stated that he must be involved in choosing Iran’s next leader, so a meeting between Trump and Pahlavi would be prudent.

Listening to Iranian-Americans tell their stories, one thing is patently clear, and hits you like a ton of bricks. Many Americans have no earthly concept of how blessed and lucky we are to be living in the greatest country in the world. We have no idea of what it is like to wake up and worry if we will be arrested for something we said or what we did (or didn’t) wear.
I also have never experienced people who were so thankful for my presence and support. Total strangers hugged and thanked me. Iranians are some of the warmest, loving people I have ever met, and as much as they love their homeland and want to steer it towards freedom, they also love America.
These are the people the media doesn’t want you to know about, and they and others like them are the ones who will take their country back.
