Watch as an Islamic call to prayer rang out over Washington DC last night as GB News’ Ben Leo reported on two violent attacks which have shaken America.
A convicted Islamic State supporter opened fire in a Virginia university classroom, killing one person and injuring two others before he was killed, while an unrelated suspect crashed his truck into a Michigan synagogue and its preschool and was shot dead.
In DC, Ben was outside a synagogue – the US capital’s oldest – when he was distracted by the sound.
He detailed how someone opened their window from an apartment nearby and started blasting the call to prayer through a loudspeaker as he was setting up to film.
It could still be heard throughout Ben’s broadcast from the scene during The Late Show Live that evening.
The man blasting the music came down and spoke to GB News – and denied he was “trolling the Jews” with the sound.
He offered his condolence to anyone who had lost loved ones in the attacks – and said that while he “does not have anything against the people of the Judeo faith”, he was opposed to the “Zionist regime and Frankist movement”.
